Auction Sale Management

Offering highly experienced guidance through the entire consignment process.

Insight and Experience

Elizabeth has worked at the director level across multiple auction departments, with direct experience in consignment assessment, intake, cataloging, logistics, transport, and sale strategy. She understands how auction houses evaluate property, the strategy behind how reserves and estimates are set, the psychology of the bidding process, how fees are structured and where they’re negotiable, and how decisions made early in the consignment process affect the bottom line.

Sale Considerations

Reserve prices, estimate ranges, catalog descriptions, photographs, marketing, client services, auction house reputation, shipping services, buyer fees, and bidding options, are all crucial components of an auction sale. These factors are all influenced by a combination of market presence, house policy, category expertise, cataloging, photography, and marketing departments, and in some cases, seller negotiation. Cataloging quality, placement within a sale, and the choice of auction house all affect outcomes. For some highly desirable work, the internet has largely leveled the playing field across reputable houses, whereas for other property, choosing the right auction house is key.

Working with an experienced advocate means you understand exactly what is happening at every stage, why decisions are being made, and what to expect, without carrying the administrative and decisions making burden alone.

Our Goal

Property should be distributed in a way that is financially advantageous, efficient within your timeline, and causes you the least amount of confusion or inconvenience. We bring deep familiarity with consignment contracts and fee negotiation, transportation and logistics, auction house cataloging and storage processes, reserve and estimate strategy, and the relative strengths of different houses across different categories of property. That knowledge is what we put to work on your behalf.
